Why I’m Running
My family moved to Sugar Hill in 2013 from Duluth – drawn by the small town feel and the buzz of growing potential. I am running for City Council Post 3 so I can play a direct role in shaping our growth to ensure the long term success of the community I love.
My primary focus is on managing our growth in a way that BALANCES new development with green space while attracting BUSINESSES that will enhance our lifestyle and maintain our sense of COMMUNITY.
This approach ensures that Sugar Hill remains a place where families like yours – and mine – can WORK, STAY and PLAY for years to come.
I have 25 years of corporate experience in sales, operations, communications and marketing. My understanding of how businesses think and work, how they use data to make decisions, and how to best market to them gives me the knowledge to attract the right businesses to Sugar Hill.
I have served as an officer for my Homeowners Association since 2014 where I have been active in building both an online and in-person community that allows neighbors to foster meaningful relationships and really get to know each other. Additionally, I have overseen multiple large capital projects including the purchase of a land tract that protects the long term property values of our Association.
I’m active in the Sugar Hill community and volunteer with my children’s schools – Sugar Hill Elementary and Lanier Middle. I also lead a volunteer team at Gwinnett Church and am active in many community outreach projects with them including backpack drives for school children, community beautification projects, and support of the North Gwinnett Coop. Several times a week you can find me at E.E. Robinson Park on the baseball fields – often with a scorebook in my lap.
